paborito ko ang almusal. natutuwa ako tuwing merong mga “breakfast dates” nauso sa aming barkada ang almusal sa salcedo village ng makati. iba’t ibang lugar ang pinupuntahan namin. paborito ko sa lahat ang apartment 1B.

meron din kaming almusal surprise sa mga nabibirthday! ito naman ay effort talaga dahil 4 or 5am ay gising na kami at nagsusunduan na para masurprise ang kaberks na may birthday

anyway, para sa aking lahok itong linggo, isang litratong nakunan habang ako’y nasa boracay at nagaalmusal. paborito ko ang pagkaing nakahain sa plato: itlog, sausages at foccacia bread.

i wanted to make a different sympathy flower for my friend and i came up with this one. I love how the it looks like cause it’s not so showy but it’s very sincere and from the heart

sometime April this year, i decided to come up with my very own inspirational album where i’ll be recording 10 of my own composition original songs. i started composing last January 1, 1999, months after my dad suffered a stroke. i composed “Hello Friend” because i wanted to know how my dad was really doing. we couldn’t communicate with him verbally anymore after his stroke and the emotions just came out. after that, i’d pick up melodies, put lyrics and wrote them on a book. i never thought this day would come.

after i composed “to you o lord” based on psalm 25, i realized there were people who wanted to hear my songs. so at the back of my head, i wanted to make the album to inspire people, hoping that the song would inspire, motivate, bring joy and encourage people.

you know how God purposely lets you meet people so you can make things work? this happened to me when i took a goal charting and achieving course from PSI. my buddy who chose me to be her buddy (and i agreeed!) owned a recording studio! Imagine that! After some time, I composed the songs and didn’t know who else aside from my co-choir member omar igama will arrange it… and then came along Eloise Gonzalo, who i am so blessed to have met this year. she offered to arrange some of the songs for me! singers were selected, demo tapes were done and fast forward to July 5 - the first recording day.

i cannot begin to express my joy upon stepping on eggyokes’ studio. from the first moment i met the sound engineer (who also happens to arrange songs, is a one-man orchestra and more) from the songs they’ve already composed to the service they provided to the actual recording day, i feel like i was in cloud 9 all the time. yeah, it was physically draining, and there were a lot of worries along the way, but right now, it just feels so right. I was so giddy after receiving the first song arranged (with orchestra!!!! i love cello now!) and I can’t seem to stop smiling whenever i hear the song. i’ve recorded again last night and am waiting for all the songs to be mixed. it just feels so great right now!!!! it’s so amazing how God gave me such a wonderful, wonderful, amazing, magical gift. i will forever cherish all these memories!!!

i’ll keep the album title and everything else a secret first cause I don’t want to pre-empt the launching hahaha, but here’s a sampler of the song.

i heard this on the radio for these past few days and was so surprised to hear a praise song on the wavestream! i love the lyrics of the song… it reminds me of how we give back to the Lord everything because it is His in the first place. it made me realize that my album - which is God’s work and instrument to let me learn things is really His - and I really want to thank from the bottom of my heart - to those involved in making my dream come true. am i loving the journey? i really am

it’s been a long time since i blogged. i missed writing and letting my thoughts flow on virtual paper.

i just wanted to thank God for all the blessings He has given me. Especially today of all days. Thanks for kinda lifting up the veil of burden. I understand now what you wanted me to go through.

another blessing - today, i was able to book a client and worked hard for another client. Both were amazing blessings. Thanks Lord… I’m reminded that it’s your work I am fulfilling, just caretaking it for you…

The day started with no sleep at all. So when we went to Lucena, I was fast asleep (Poor Paul!). I woke up to eat breakfast at Lourd’s house in Lucena. YUMMY breakfast! We had pesto rice, tapa flakes, pinakbet! After, we headed off for another 3 hours to Catanauan, which I also didn’t feel as I slept again

We went straight to Enverga University where we supported Sheila and Kuya Rochie to their coffee. After, we had lunch at Eyn’s Waterfront, where we joined in the celebration of the De Luna’s Wedding Anniversary. (De Luna being Loewi, Lourds, Sheila and Arl - my Coach)

We started the bonding after we arrived at Villa Mercedes. It was KTV, Saba, Buko, Dinner, KTV, Pinoy Taboo, Revelations and more revelations Hahaha The next day, we had a very heartwarming and breakthrough activity as a team

We went back to Tayabas for Palaisdaan lunch while stopping at various scenic spots. We then went to Graceland to look around then headed back to Manila. And for the first time in my entire road trips, I never slept a wink from Lucena til we reach Manila where suddenly my eyes couldn’t keep awake anymore! Hahaha. Fun teambuilding/bonding. Glad I was there though I missed a friend’s niece;s debut in Batangas. bawi na lang ako.
